Arc Health and Beauty actually got its name from one of the salons Lindsay worked at in London. The name was created to focus on and celebrate the womanly form with all its arcs and curves. In past times, abstract artists would represent women with curves and arcs, and men with more linear shapes. An arc upside down could be seen as a vessel to hold something, while inverted, could be something to protect and shield. Arcs represent women in all forms of her life. From being a person who protects and looks after her family, she too needs to be looked after, mentally and physically through all stages of life. Not to say that we only treat women. Not at all. Gentlemen are most welcome too.
